Colonial Art Museum of San Francisco

Colonial Art Museum of San Francisco is located in one of the oldest heritage buildings in Santiago in what was the convent of the Church of San Francisco. It was founded in the year 1969.

In its seven rooms are exhibited various relics of religiosity and colonial art. In the great hall of the museum a series of paintings exhibited Basilio Santa Cruz, chronicling the life of Francis of Assisi.

also highlights the room where Gabriela Mistral medal and diploma shown the Nobel Prize for Literature won by the poetess in 1945, and that he bequeathed to the Chilean people.
